March 2022
I don't know where March went. Partially bc I went on a vacation (WUT!?!). Danny held the fort down and I figured out how to do async tech diligence. Also discovered I'm useless without my 3 monitor (+iPad for meetings) set up. Yes I know how that sounds. No I'm probably not going to change.
Fun:
- For me (Andrew), this is now the 3rd business I've bootstrapped to $20k MRR. I'm going to put that on a resume i hope i never (ever) have to submit anywhere ever again. ever.
Highlights:
- 💰 Total MRR: ~$18,899.32 (+/- a few hundred). I think we can say $20k MRR now.
- 💸 We were actually profitable last month. yeah. weird.
- 👯 Over 63,000 total users under the XO umbrella!
- New Acquisition (#6) - Inlytics.io!
- One new deal under LOI
- One new hire - developer (we have 2 now in addition to myself)
Notes
- Chart Mogul can be (wildly) inaccurate so take these numbers with a grain of salt. Even Stripe's MRR number isn't accurate. Check your actual bank deposits if you need to be accurate!

WorkClout
This one is a little annoying bc not all revenue comes in through stripe. Some customers do direct ACH and some write checks. Yes it kind of sucks, but yes the ticket sizes are larger.
- MRR $5,703

I don't want to confuse folks. CES is a separate biz from XO. I just happened to start both at the same time (ish), and got so so so lucky. This is a great example of how garbage Stripe's numbers are. CES is a productized service business where customers can and do pause, come back, pause again, etc. We had one 4 week period over the last 7 weeks where we brought in over $50k. Everyone is on a subscription in stripe though so we really do have recurring revenue. That $28k number is low. Our cash collections over the past 4 weeks is much higher. Also we bill monthly, quarterly, and annually which throws these numbers off even more.
In any case, I love this biz. And h/t to Mikey + Julia for just absolutely crushing it. CES is now 17 ish people strong (the ish is due not counting part time folks).
